Hello everyone,


     I am new to the forum and live in Michigan.   The wife, kid and I will be coming out to Sacramento this Saturday Nov. 22nd to the 29th.   

I am interested very much in a strange way to visit Bodie.   My question is this, is this too late in the year to visit?    The cold is not the problem, snow and being 9,000ft up would be.   I wouldn't be in my Grand Cherokee on 31" Mud tires, but an Impala or Taurus.   Maybe an Escape.  

I'd like to surprise my wife with a unique place to go.   I believe our 7 year old son would like it, but would need a little explaining as to why no one calls it home.   My wife also like U2 as well, but hasn't a clue of this being in the picture.

No, that was in November 2005, week before Thanksgiving. I have also heard that portraiture back then was taken as quite a serious matter, so silly things like smiles were not encouraged. That would be really cool and I've thought about that, but I would imagine it would need to transmit to the net via a satellite. I wouldn't think there would be a LAN line out there. Could be a pretty expensive setup.
