The Friends of Bodie is always accepting donations of money and certain items they would like to have on hand. If you have any of these items you would like to donate to the park, you can send them to the address at the bottom of the page.

The Bodie Staff greatly appreciates all the people out there who have donated items. The Park operates on a limited budget. There are times that certain things would not only make their job easier, but also more effective with interpreting Bodie to the public. Packages can be shipped to the address at the bottom of this page.

The following is a wish list:

• Cash donations for the "Bodie Visitor's Center" fund, or just for use in Bodie. Be SURE to designate "For use in Bodie only" on your check.

• Sound System and Speakers for the interpretive video theater - The theater currently has 2 radio speakers that broadcast the sound for the videos played to the public. A nicer "sound system" with speakers that will connect to the DVD and VCR would make the experience for the public much better.

• Laptop computer and Portable LCD projector: The interpretive park aids want to be able to go give presentations at school, clubs, businesses, and other locations, and would like to do PowerPoint presentations, rather than old fashioned slide shows.

• In-Period Clothing: They need dresses and men's clothing in different sizes for the living history tours and talks.

• Snow-Mobile: It is a little hard to get around in the winter, hauling books from the museum to the temporary bookstore in the park office.
